Musonia is a SaaS platform designed for independent UK musicians. It provides tools for finding venues, planning tours, managing setlists, creating gig posters, building stage plans, running PR campaigns, and connecting with other musicians.

2. What Data We Collect
2.1 Account & Profile Data
- Name and display name
- Email address
- Password (stored securely via Supabase Auth — we never see your plain-text password)
- Profile information such as your artist name, home city, bio, and genre
- Subscription tier and billing status
2.2 Content You Create
- Songs, lyrics, chord charts, and setlists you upload or create
- Tour plans, gig stops, expenses, and route data
- Gig posters, stage plans, and PR campaign content
- Feedback and messages you submit via the platform
2.3 Usage Data
- Pages and features you access within Musonia
- Actions taken, such as searches, flags submitted, and content created
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
2.4 Third-Party Login Data (Facebook)
If you choose to sign in using Facebook Login, we receive with your permission:
- Your Facebook name and profile picture
- Your Facebook email address (if shared and permitted by you)
- A unique Facebook User ID used to link your account
We do not receive your Facebook password, friends list, or any data beyond what you explicitly authorise. You can revoke this connection at any time via your Facebook account settings.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data to:
- Create and manage your Musonia account
- Provide, personalise, and improve the platform and its features
- Process and display the content you create (songs, tours, setlists, etc.)
- Enable social login via Facebook
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset) via Resend
- Provide AI-powered features using the Anthropic Claude API — your content may be sent to the Claude API to generate responses, but is not used to train AI models
- Display venue maps and calculate tour routes using Google Maps APIs
- Respond to your feedback and support requests
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Comply with our legal obligations
4. Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)
We process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Contract: processing necessary to provide the services you have signed up for
- Legitimate interests: improving the platform, preventing abuse, and operating our business
- Consent: where you have given clear consent, such as connecting Facebook Login
- Legal obligation: where required by applicable law
5. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following third-party service providers, solely to operate Musonia:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
- Vercel — hosting and deployment
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Anthropic — AI-powered features (your content may be processed by the Claude API)
- Google Maps Platform — venue maps and route calculation
- Meta (Facebook) — if you use Facebook Login
Each provider is bound by their own privacy policy and data processing agreements. We do not authorise them to use your data for their own purposes.
6. International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers are based outside the UK and EEA. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.
7. How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:
- Your profile and content will be deleted within 30 days
- Some anonymised usage data may be retained for platform improvement
- We may retain certain records longer where required by law
8. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
- Data portability — request your data in a portable format
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests

9. Account & Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your Musonia account and all associated personal data by:
- Emailing jamesno.1dunn@gmail.com with the subject line "Delete My Account"
- Including the email address associated with your account
We will process your request within 30 days and confirm once deletion is complete. If you connected Facebook Login, revoking access via Facebook's app settings will also disconnect your Facebook data from Musonia.
10. Cookies & Similar Technologies
Musonia uses cookies to:
- Maintain your login session
- Remember your preferences
- Analyse platform usage to improve the service
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect your ability to log in or use certain features.
11. Children's Privacy
Musonia is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
